About Hacienda Sajonia
Hacienda Sajonia is run by two English brothers, Tom and Matt Hills, who arrived in Nicaragua in 2010.
It is located in the beautiful El Diablo – Datanli nature reserve high up in the relatively cool cloudforest clad mountains between Matagalpa and Jinotega in northern Nicaragua. The journey to the farm is just a three-hour drive up to the northeast from the capital, Managua, placing it right in the middle of Nicaragua’s premier coffee growing region.
Hacienda Sajonia covers an area of 640 manzanas (c.1,040 acres), of which over half is primeval rainforest, home to an incredible array of flora and fauna.
The farm is set at an altitude ranging from 1,280 metres to 1,580 metres at its peak, which puts it among the more elevated coffee farms in Nicaragua. The specific climate of our location is perfectly suited to producing high quality coffee beans.

The Teesside Coffee Company are a Micro-Roastery based in Redcar in Teesside.
We roast 100% ARABICA BEANS, that are responsibly sourced.
Our coffee is Small-Batch Roasted in our 1kg Drum Roaster called Jack (think magic beans!)
Small-batch Roasting ensures the end product is of the finest quality and as we roast small amounts at a time it means the coffee available to purchase is very very fresh!
We sell Whole Beans, ground for ESPRESSO or FILTER. We also offer Green Beans if you prefer to roast your own.
